Top 5 : Jimmy Stewart Movies

On the anniversary of Jimmy Stewart's birth, May 20th, 1908, here's my Top 5 list of Stewart's movies.

He held the highest active military rank of any actor in history. He never took acting lessons, believing that you could learn more from preforming than studying.

Rear Window (1954)

The best all around Stewart movie. Great suspense and outright horror.
It's a Wonderful Life (1946)
You have to love this movie, unless you're partly dead inside.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)
Inspiring and depressing. Where are these politicians now.

The Philadelphia Story (1940)

Plays his role to perfection. An inspiration to the actors that followed him.

The Glenn Miller Story (1953)
A great war movie. You would think that it focuses on his musical career, but it tends to follow his military history more. June Allyson does a great job as his wife.
